देहरादून । जिले की ऋषिकेश कोतवाली थाना पुलिस ने एक ठग गिरोह का पर्दाफाश कर दो शातिर ठगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। दोनों साधू बाबा बनकर घरेलू परेशानियों का समाधान करने का झांसा देकर महिलाओं और बुजुर्गों से ठगी करते थे। पकड़े गए दोनों शातिर ठग झारखंड के रहने वाले सगे भाई और जाति से मुस्लिम हैं। अभियुक्तों के कब्जे से 33 हजार 500 रुपए नकद और एक वादी का आधार कार्ड बरामद हुआ है। एक बुजुर्ग की शिकायत पर देहरादून एसएसपी ने मामले में त्वरित कार्रवाई के निर्देष दिए थे। इसके बाद पुलिस और एसओजी की टीमें गठित की गईं। पुलिस टीमों ने 35 सीसीटीवी कैमरों के फुटेज खंगाले और ऐसी वारदातों मेंं संलिप्त रहे पुराने बदमाशों को पकडक़र पूछताछ की तो दोनों शातिर पकड़े गए। इनसे अन्य वारदात खुलने की संभावना है।
पुलिस के अनुसार ग्राम व पोस्ट गंगा भोगपुर, तहसील चीला, यम्केश्वर, पौड़ी गढ़वाल निवासी डबल सिंह रावत पुत्र स्व. उत्तम सिंह रावत ने ऋषिकेश कोतवाली में ठगी की शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी।
पीड़ित डबल सिंह ने बताया कि दो व्यक्तियों, जिसमें से एक ने डॉक्टर का पता पूछने के बहाने से मुझे रोका व दूसरा व्यक्ति कपड़े का व्यापारी बताकर बात करने लगा। इसी बीच पहला व्यक्ति अपने को वृंदावन का पुरोहित बताकर व प्रार्थी को धोखे में रखकर मेरा बैग, जिसमें 32 हजार रुपए व कागजात थे, लेकर मेरे साथ धोखाधड़ी कर भाग गए। इस पर मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया।
मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए देहरादून एसएसपी ने तत्काल पुलिस टीम गठित कर आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के आदेश दिए। इस पर पुलिस और एसओजी की संयुक्त टीमें बनाई गईं। पुलिस ने घटनास्थल से आने-जाने वाले रास्तों पर लगे लगभग 35 सीसीटीवी कैमरे का बारीकी से निरीक्षण किया गया और जेल से छूटे व ऐसे अपराधों में संलित 12 पुराने संदिग्ध अभियुक्तों से पूछताछ की गई।
25 नवंबर की शाम मुखबिर की सूचना पर बस अड्डे के पीछे से आरोपी दोनों अभियुक्तों गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पकड़े गए आरोपी ग्राम गोपालपुर मोहर टोला, थाना ठाकुरगंगती, जिला गोड्डा, झारखंड निवासी अमजद (50) और कबीर अंसारी (42) पुत्र मोहिउद्दीन है। दोनोंं सगे भाई हैं। अभियुक्त अमजद से 30 हजार रुपए व वादी डबल सिंह रावत का आधार कार्ड बरामद हुआ, जबकि अभियुक्त कबीर अंसारी से 3500 रुपए जब्त हुए।
पुलिस पूछताछ में दोनों अभियुक्तों ने बताया कि हम दोनों सगे भाई हैं तथा झारखंड के रहने वाले हैं। पैसे कमाने के चक्कर में हम दोनों भाई साधु बाबाओं के तरीके से लोगों के परिवार की समस्याओं का समाधान करने के बहाने अपने झांसे में लेकर खासकर बुजुर्ग व महिलाओं को धोखा देकर उनका पैसा, ज्वेलरी आदि सामान लेकर मौका देख कर भाग जाते थे। तीन दिन पहले ऋषिकेश बाजार में हम दोनों ने एक बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति को रास्ते में रोककर झांसा देकर उसका बैग ले लिया और मौका पाकर वहां से भाग गए। बैग में करीब 30 हजार रुपए और कागजात थे। बैग से पैसे व आधार कार्ड हमने अपने पास रख लिया तथा कपड़े व कागजात सडक़ किनारे नाली में फेंक दिए थे। करीब 2 माह पूर्व भी हम दोनों ने ऋषिकेश मेन बाजार में टेंपो स्टैंड के पास एक महिला को झांसे में लेकर उसकी ज्वेलरी जिसमें एक सोने का पेंडल, एक सोने की अंगूठी, फोन व पर्स था, लेकर भाग गए थे। पर्स में करीब 2 हजार रुपए थे। पैसे निकालकर हमने उस पर्स व फोन को झारखंड जाते हुए ट्रेन से रास्ते में फेंक दिया था और उसकी ज्वैलरी झारखंड में राह चलते व्यक्ति को मजबूरी बताकर 15 हजार रुपए में बेच दी थी।
