टिहरी गढ़वालः राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय नई टिहरी, द्वारा आज महाविद्यालय परिसर के आसपास स्वच्छता अभियान चलाया गया। इस दौरान सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक उन्मूलन किया गया। महाविद्यालय में यह कार्यक्रम विगत 3 दिनों से चल रहा है जिसमें भारी संख्या में महाविद्यालय में कार्यरत प्राध्यापकों, कर्मचारियों, भूतपूर्व छात्र छात्राओं, राष्ट्रीय स्वयं सेवकों द्वारा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें सभी के द्वारा बढ़ चढ़कर भाग लिया गया।
स्वच्छता कार्यक्रम में नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष सीमा कृषाली ने भी अपने समस्त स्टाफ सहित प्रतिभाग किया तथा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक उन्मूलन पर जोर दिया। सीमा कृषाली भी राजकीय महाविद्यालय नई टिहरी की भूतपूर्व छात्रा रही है। अपने महाविद्यालय में पूर्व की भांति प्रतिभाग कर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की। महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्य डॉ रेनू नेगी द्वारा राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना के स्वयं सेवकों को जागरूकता अभियान की जानकारियों के साथ-साथ प्लास्टिक का वातावरण पर पड़ने वाले प्रभावों की जानकारी दी।
कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डॉ विजय प्रकाश सेमवाल ने कहा कि एनएसएस स्वयंसेवी जागरूकता के संवाहक है, उन्होंने युवाओं से आह्वान किया कि इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रमों में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लें एवं वातावरण में फैली सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के निस्तारण से संबंधित जानकारियों के बारे में जन-जन तक पहुंचाएं। कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डॉ रजनी गुसाई ने कहा कि स्वयंसेवी समाज का दर्पण है जो समाज में फैली कुरीतियों को जड़ से समाप्त कर सकते हैं।
कार्यक्रम में डॉ डीपीएस भंडारी, डॉ सुशील कुमार कगड़ियाल, डॉ संजीव नेगी, डॉ अरविन मोहन पैन्यूली, डॉ आशा डोभाल, डॉ गुरुपद गुसाईं, डॉ संदीप बहुगुणा, डॉ नवीन रावत, डॉ सुमन गुसाईं, डॉ के के बंगवाल, डॉ पुष्पा पंवार आदि उपस्थित रहे।
